Cause why not.Hey guys it just hit me that I actually have over 1,200 Followers which is insane because I barely do anything besides repost other people’s memes and make the occasional comment. I mean, i dunno, this just came to my mind and i guess this discussion wont really go anywhere, we aint gonna achieve anything at all talking about this and all but yeah. So i just wanted to know if this was just a coincidence or if bethesda did truly take wayy too much inspiration from Rage. kinda similar i guess?Īppart from the similarities in the cryo chambers and being the only survivor, i want you to take a look at the intros: So yeah, that whole section at the begining is. But the thing that does stand out in my opinion is that in both games you are in a cryogenic chamber, in both games you are the only survivor, in both games you have to come later on to the place you woke up to take something important (In rage its quest related, in Fallout 4 is just to get the cryolator which is optional, its just a gun, but still, if we are nitpicky af we can count this as an interesting coincidence as well), and most importantly, that mythical when you exit the vault/ark cutscene where your character looks outside, ands its so bright and shiny you cant see ♥♥♥♥ for a while until you start to adpat to the brightness and you cover your face slightly with your arm to cover the sun and you get to see the outside world, while the vault/ark doors open. While both games are set in a post apocalyptic world, there are a lot of books, movies, comics, games, etc all set in a similar scenario. (Ofc, Rage's is much better cause you dont get to play like 10 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ minutes of baby sitting and waitint to get into the vault lmao.) Fallout 4's intro section is way too similar to Rage's. Now, after so many years i did not remember the rage intro entirely but after watching it again, i realised something. And ofc, after the years have passed, i have played other games, some of which include fallout 4. ![]() Years after i see it on steam for sale and decide to buy it again. When i first played this game back in 2012 which is when i first got it i really loved it. We must have into account that while bethesda did not work in rage, they did publish it so they could have gotten some inspiration from there and all. Rage was released in 2011 and Fallout 4 in 2015. ![]()
